
My Story
Growing up in the Midwest, I never even knew naturopathic doctors existed…

As a high-achieving student balancing a rigorous pre-med academic load with athletics and social life, I pushed through relentless fatigue, chronic sinus infections, and digestive issues, chalking it up to stress. It wasn’t until I moved out of my college living environment—and into a healthier one—that I realized I had been dealing with undiagnosed mold exposure and toxicity.
Around the same time, I was misdiagnosed with PCOS and prescribed birth control, only to later learn my labs never supported the diagnosis. These experiences left me questioning traditional approaches to health, especially women’s health and chronic conditions.
A chance encounter with a naturopathic doctor changed everything. Within days, I was researching the field and applying to naturopathic medical school. The decision was both a rebellion against the symptom-focused, one-size-fits-all model I had witnessed while working as an EMT and an alignment with my drive to empower others with knowledge about their own bodies.

While naturopathic doctors undergo training parallel to conventional medical doctors, including pharmacology and diagnostics, our approach prioritizes the root cause of illness and imbalance rather than just managing symptoms. That philosophy resonated deeply with me.
After years working in an established clinic, I gained invaluable mentorship and clarity about the type of practice I wanted to lead—combining rigorous medical expertise with deep listening, education, and a collaborative relationship between doctor and patient. I wanted to create a space where people feel truly heard, supported, and equipped to take control of their health.
