This approach isn’t a quick fix—it’s a journey. It’s unlikely that symptoms and imbalances resolve after one set of labs and one visit. Naturopathic medicine is about uncovering root causes and supporting the body’s ability to rebalance over time. That takes consistency, patience, and the right kind of support. This is why we include regular check-in visits, open communication between appointments, and follow-up lab work to track progress and make adjustments as needed.
I do not up-charge on lab work or supplements. Naturopathic doctors in California cannot bill insurance directly, but I’m happy to provide a superbill for possible reimbursement upon request.
The Process
Step 1
Discovery Call
On your 15-20 minute consult call, you’ll share a brief overview of your health history and goals. The purpose of this call is to quickly decide if we are a good fit to work together before either of us invests time, energy, or money into a therapeutic relationship. Ask questions to be sure we’re in alignment with how I practice.
Step 2
New Patient Visit
Your first visit is a comprehensive 45-60 minute consultation — a deep dive into your health history, lifestyle, habits, diet, and goals. This in-depth conversation provides me with the critical information I need to determine which labs will give us the best insight into any potential dysfunctions or imbalances in your body.
Step 2B
Lab Work
Once we've agreed on the appropriate tests, I will assist you in ordering your labs. These are paid for out of pocket and are never marked up. After receiving your results, we'll schedule a 1-hour follow-up to review findings in detail. I’ll help you understand your biochemistry in relation to your symptoms and we'll create a customized treatment plan that we'll continue to adjust and refine.
Step 3
Follow-Ups
Follow-up visits are scheduled every 4-8 weeks, typically lasting 15-30 minutes, to assess your progress, tweak your treatment plan as necessary, and provide ongoing education. These visits are key to keeping you on track, addressing any questions, and ensuring you stay accountable throughout the process.
